Over the last 2 years this fintech company has built, with the help of an outsourced company, a ready to deploy innovative solution for the financial industry partnering with the likes of Equifax and an Opening Banking leading 3rd party. They are now looking to bring the solution in house which is why they need a team of likeminded individuals to help make this happen and to evolve the company and product  to multi product solutions company  utilising the existing architecture and putting their own mark and ideas to the table.

This is an exciting and pivotal role for a senior/mid-level developer as they will be the first of the company's software engineers.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to put their stamp on the business and to run their own technical team which will grow fast over the coming months and year.

The Role

  • They are looking a senior/mid-level developer to really get to grips with existing projects and to take the reins, guiding, consulting and advising with the help of the outsourced company who is staying on until the transition is complete. 
  • You'll be a dynamic, hands-on and able to develop the technology and to bring the existing technology in house.
  • A great team player with an inquisitive mind that's thirsty to learn and develop.
  • The chosen senior/mid-level developer will be involved in the development and direction of products and will work with several other areas of the business.

Required Skills:

Languages: Python & JavaScript, PHP
Python Frameworks: Django, CSS, Ubuntu.
JavaScript: JQuery, Angular.js / Ember.js / Backbone.js

Experience:

At least 3 years server-side and web application development experience.

  • Developing and consuming RESTful API's (on an open source (AngularJS/Java/PostgreSQL, JSON / XML, CSS) stack
  • Working with backend SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MYSQL).
  • Good understanding of HTML5, Bootstrap and CSS3
