    An IT Transformation Project Manager is now required to join a leading UK transportation service provider based in Birmingham on a 2 year fixed-term contract.

    Your new role
    The IT Transformation Project Manager is required to oversee and lead the transition phase of this infrastructure transformation programme and will be responsible for the successful completion of the project as per the expected costs, schedule and benefits. As Project Manager you will control the project delivery for the Transformation phase, including schedule management, scope changes and budget whilst also coordinating the day-to-day activities of the project team from mobilisation through to final implementation. The programme will consist of migrating the current UK data centre from on premise facilities to a new partner data centre in an ‘as-is’ system state and will also include the upgrade of all legacy operating systems, applications and databases currently out of vendor support.

    What you'll need to succeed
    The successful candidate will have strong experience of leading complex technical change programmes with multiple change elements and managing budgets more than £5m. You will have at least 3 years’ experience in managing third party suppliers and vendors within a delivery environment whilst holding demonstrable experience in the delivery of application migration as well as demonstrable success in influencing stakeholders to manage conflicting requirements, demands and priorities. A background in IT Service Delivery would be desirable as would the use of Google Suite. A relevant qualification in project/programme management is required (MSP, PMP, Prince2).

More so, you will be experienced in developing systems to improve performance and will be confident generating solutions analysis such as gap analysis and migration strategies. Furthermore, you will have proven ability in analysis of as-is and to-be processes, with the development of new ITIL-aligned processes and procedures in a multi-vendor environment and will have a solid understand of the ITIL framework.

    Certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF or ISEB Business Analysis would be desirable but not essential.
