Responsible for the implementation of GMP Equalisation across all clients administered by the Technology Administration Solutions department within Willis Towers Watson. The role is client facing, and will involve organising and participating in planning, requirement and business technical workshops.

The Role

The role is primarily accountable for the delivery of technical changes to the pensions administration system. In addition, the role will have delivery oversight on supporting workstreams involving colleagues from Retirements and Data Solutions as well as third party Administrators and Actuaries. The role is responsible for project reporting to senior management within WTW and Client Steering Committees.

Essential Job duties:

  • Provide input to the internal Steering Committee.
  • Provide input on programme delivery status to the Client Steering Committee.
  • Leadership of the internal Working Group and participation in client Working Groups.
  • End to end project delivery ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
  • Co-ordinate internal resources, on and offshore, for the execution of the project delivery plans.
  • Creation and tracking of project plans.
  • Management of project change requests.
  • Project and portfolio management reporting.
  • Management of project RAID's.
  • Relationships management with clients.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Develop and enhance the TAS project methodology
The Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Project Manager within the financial services sector.
  • Proven work experience of delivering technical changes to support Regulatory requirements
  • Good working knowledge of Pensions Administration
  • Good working knowledge of GMP Equalisation
  • Strong verbal and written communications, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership experience in achieving successful project outcomes.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teamwork in and across teams and organizations.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals, including project metrics and dashboards.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and dependencies early.
  • Quickly facilitates mitigation plans, alternative approaches and communication of risks.
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources in several functional areas.
  • Adeptness at learning new technology and tools.
