Our current stack is made up of distributed applications, primarily built on Ruby, Scala, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySql/Aurora and JavaScript. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• You'll work on scalable web applications and APIs
• Have solid experience using Scala or Ruby and keen on learning more about either.
• Work with (and know the limitations of using) a large SQL database
• Work alongside Infrastructure/DevOps with provisioning tools (e.g Terraform, AWS, Docker)
• TDD, BDD (RSpec, Cucumber) environment to ensure your code is well tested
• Be an Agile Advocate (bonus points for knowing what the Spotify Model is!)
• Understand CI / CD pipelines
• Be proficient in Git/Github or any other source control software
• Work with multiple teams to ensure all systems work well together
• Collaborate with QA & Product Owners on product development

NICE TO HAVE

• API-led platforms
• Elasticsearch
• Docker
• Kubernetes (or K8s if you prefer!)
• Log Management systems
• APM systems like New Relic or Datadog
• 12 factor apps
• AWS SDK
• Building business tools
• Microservices
• Passionate about tech, play with new tools, go to events etc.
