A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to work with a multinational Entertainment giant in the Gaming Industry, 3 month contract initially, remote working, Inside IR35.

This person will join a global team of architects, engineers, and other subject matter experts who focus on delivering a secure and frictionless experience for users accessing applications and services. This role will focus on the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, developing infrastructure as code via Terraform, CloudFormation, and Serverless. This role will also be responsible for deployment and QA automation, assisting in the design and best practices for cloud infrastructure, and will participate in solution design with a broader engineering team.This role will work in fast paced and exciting environment and must be an active participant helping to drive engineering excellence while providing highly scalable, secure, and stable solutions. Due to this large programme of work they are looking for someone to come in and create automation test frameworks to support this with integrated CI pipelines while helping raise the profile of automation within the organisation.

This is the first role and once you're in, a team will be built around you to help support the ongoing programme of work and as such will require you to help mentor and coach these individuals.

To be considered for this position you will need experience in a similar role with experience of coding in any language (C#, Java, JavaScript or similar). You will also need experience in;

Your new role

Ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the network and other IT systems across all sites in Europe, including European HQ office in Aldershot, small remote satellite offices.

Ensure IT infrastructure is stable across Europe. Support the following operations:

  • Exchange based e-mail system (+ pending upgrade)
  • Maintain, update and build our internal based servers.
  • Manage combination of virtual (Hyper-V) and physical servers.
  • Maintenance of Firewalls across all sites in Europe, including configuration changes and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure Company data is secure and backed-up regularly.
