The Role:

Working under the guidance of the Software Development Manager the C++ Developer will be managed carefully to ensure develop your coding skills whilst learning on the job alongside a fellow Developer playing a key part in developing software that is key to the products they sell and maintain for customers.
the C++ Developer will develop next generation digital imaging software and research applications as part of the software development team.

About You:

• Computing/Mathematics Graduates
• 1-2 years C++ Programming experience in a commercial role
• Exposure to QT frameworks
• Dsire to learn and build a long term career within software development.
• You should also have fundamental understanding of object oriented software concepts and a basic understanding of SQL and XML.

C++ Developer - 2 month contract (poss. of ext.)

Location: Nottingham
Rate: £300-450/day (meritocratic, so DOE)

If you're fed up with dealing with the mess that is IR35, you're a C++ Developer with a good background and a knowledge of IoT Services, and you're available for the next 2 months, this one's for you.

The company develop state of the art cooling systems for companies all over the world, and their software supports a range of IoT services (which, in turn, supports the hardware - it's a beautiful synergy).

As this is a contract role, you don't need to be someone who has extensive experience leading teams or handling office politics, the CTO is simply looking for someone who can provide some additional support and (hopefully) guidance to the other developers over the next few months.

You'll need to get up to speed quite quickly, but the company culture is very relaxed and they're not expecting you to automagically understand every aspect of their code base. You will, however, need to have experience with:

• C++ 14 (or earlier versions are fine)
• C++ for IoT would be a huge bonus due to the nature of the work you'll be doing
• Debian 9
• Linux in general
• They also have some outsourced teams, so you will need to be okay with communicating with them

There's a possibility of extension in the event that new projects come in, so if things do go quite well here you could be around for longer as well!

Due to company size and turnover, this role is exempt from IR35.
