An international data provisioning firm is looking for an experienced/senior level Mobile Developer/Full Stack Engineer to join their team in London. This is a very exciting time because they recently released a brand new platform so your day-to-day role will include a lot of greenfield development.

As part of the development team, you will have exposure to some of the largest organisations in the World relating to mergers and acquisitions – the type of information that will move markets and has an enormous impact on the global finance community. 

Role Overview 

You will work closely with Product, UX and other Engineering team members, as part of the London-based Product team. This role will suit someone who is seeking the opportunity to have a big impact and who relishes the challenge of working in a fast-paced global company in the Financial sector.

This role will offer an opportunity to innovate in a highly complex space. 

The new core platform is a micro services architecture with multiple web/mobile applications built on top.  Our client is leveraging a combination of open source and third-party libraries/frameworks such as Eureka (service discovery), MongoDB (NoSQL), Elastic Search (search), Pivotal Cloud Foundry (cloud native), Microsoft Azure (cloud service platform) and many more. 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant software engineering experience including: 

  • React or React Native development experience 

  • Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript and design patterns, CSS (SCSS), JSX 

  • Proficiency with unit and UI testing using third party tools e.g. Jest, cucumber, karma, mocha etc. 

  • Responsive web and/or mobile design 

  • Familiar with modern React Native component libraries e.g. react-native-paper 

  • Familiar with mobile app build process, using Xcode / Android Studio 

  • Familiar with ES2015 (ES6), TypeScript, etc.  

  • Product development or large-scale app development 

  • Experience developing mobile applications using native tools such as Objective-C/Swift, or Java/Kotlin 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

You will ideally come from a software and infrastructure background working within a DevOps environment. You will be AWS certified, with solid Python experience. You will also have excellent customer service skills and empathy for clients’ needs.

You will learn new technologies as well as building on your current experiences. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a mix of financial developers, DevOps and infrastructure engineers, and application developers to provide front line support to our clients and staff. In this role, you will work directly with the teams to triage and analyze technical issues logged into our ticketing system.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collect and triage production support incident tickets and follow documented standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and create support documentation and knowledgebase
  • Own production support issues and collaborate with support engineers to resolve issues within designated SLAs
  • Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on outstanding issues
  • Interact directly as needed with clients and stakeholders
  • Provide daily and weekly issue reports
  • Be an active participant at production support meetings
  • Monitor environment logs for errors and troubleshoot accordingly
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Required Skills
