We are looking for a Software Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to customers for bespoke software.

You must have experience supporting bespoke software, SQL/Java skills and a passion for customer service. You will love to problem solve, manage client expectations and go the extra mile.

You will be the first point of call to customers with an issue. You will triage, FIX if possible, if not you will escalate to the development team and manage the process through to completing and closing the ticket. This is a customer-facing role, which requires daily interaction with customers typically over phone, by email and face to face

Duties will include;

  • Provide remote software application support for customer sites across the UK
  • Able to handle software incidents, conduct detailed problem analysis to find root cause of repeat incidents

  • Strong customer relationship management experience

  • Understanding of ITIL framework, Java EE programming language
  • Comfortable with Linux operating system, knowledge of Unix scripting will be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
