Infrastructure Engineer £40,460 36 hours, Flexible working & Fantastic Benefits

A great opportunity has arisen for a Infrastructure Engineer to join a team who are evolving and moving to new technologies.

The Engineer will need to be someone who is comfortable with driving and implementing change. They should have experience of developing a deliverable and affordable roadmap for the moving from on premise infrastructure into the cloud and experience and responsibility for maintaining the security of the data network against all forms of loss or threat, external and internal while enabling secure remote access for authorised users and purposes.

Experience needed:

  • Implementing Microsoft 365
  • Azure/AWS or other cloud environment
  • Managing SLA's and 3rd party
  • Data security
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Active Directory


What you will get in return Salary of £40,460 rising to £43,350, Flexi Time runs from 7.30 am -7pm -you can carry 3 days over each month, shut down at Christmas for approx. 1 week, Holiday entitlement starts at 22 and increases every year to a total of 27 and Pension Scheme.

Systems Engineer / DevOps (CI/CD Automation C# .Net Team City Octopus Windows). Would you like to gain valuable knowledge of financial FX markets and use the latest technologies as part of an Agile team?

You could be joining a successful FinTech in brand new offices in Coventry; you'll be the first Systems Engineer / DevOps at this site collaborating with colleagues in London, Lisbon, Sofia and Delhi. You'll work on a wide variety of projects to extend and scale the platform including CI/CD rails (both Cloud and on-prem) for external APIs, trading systems, Web SPAs and mobile apps; collaborating with Software Developers, Network Engineers, QAs and InfoSec in Sprints to refine platform features, improve performance and support growth.

You'll be able to contribute to the architectural design of the evolving microservice environment and help build and continuously improve the company's Cloud design with a focus on automation and best practice.

Requirements:
*Experience as a Systems Engineer / DevOps
*Ability to script with PowerShell, Python or Bash
*Experience with CI/CD pipelines
*Ideally you will have experience with a range of build and orchestration tools such as Team City, Octopus and Ansible as well as experience with Cloud based technology, Azure preferred

As the Cyber Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the posture of the SOC is optimised and its analysts have the tools and technical support to operate efficiently and consistently.

You will be responsible for the technical management of SIEM systems, databases, Log/Event systems and the overall maintenance of the SOC security posture.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you'll have some experience working in network security or security engineering roles with some exposure to a mature SOC, however, professionals with experience in a security analyst focused role, with hands-on technical skills and knowledge, will also be considered.

You'll need knowledge of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, anti-virus, threat detection, endpoint security, and SIEM tools such as Splunk or ArcSight

You'll have a working knowledge of a variety of security technologies, operating systems, databases and scripting tools such as Nessus, NMAP, Windows, Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch.

Scripting languages such as Python or Shell, are highly desirable

The ability to attain security clearance is essential.
