THE ROLE

If you were to be successful in your application for this Senior Data Developer role your responsibilities would include:

  • Modelling and building the Big Query Data Warehouse using SQL and DBT.
  • Work closely with the Data Architect and Buisness Analysts to create and maintain the ETL/ELT pipelines, data models and data catalogue as awell as the data modelling standards that enable effective analytics group wide
  • Understand and document how source systems work, their underlying data models and logic required in the ETL pipelines in order to build the data warehouse models
  • Work across the team to design, build and launch the data assets that deliver the data models

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

In order for your application for the Senior Data Developer to be successful you will need;

  • Very strong SQL coding ability
  • A great knowledge of both ETL and ELT processes and ideally non traditional ETL where custom SQL has to be written
  • knowledge of scheduling tools like Git as well as cloud based data environments
  • Exposure to or knowledge of DBT would be amazing but it's not that common so not a make or break
  • Excellent communication skills and a great underlying knowledge of data warehouses and architectures
