Full Stack .NET Developer

An exciting and innovative engineering business are looking for a driven and capable developer to help building their cutting edge cloud native applications and customer facing visualisations.

The company have a unique and innovative product which combines world class engineering with scientific machine learning. Your role will be working with experts in their field as you develop new cloud native applications and customer facing visualisations to make sure their product reaches the right people and works effectively no matter who the customer is.

You must be passionate about creating beautiful UI, and show an eagerness to learn/adapt quickly. You will need to take a brief and run with it, find solutions to problems along the way. The work will be primarily front-end, developing web portals and user interfaces, but will also involve significant back-end work building API's and microservices.

Key Skills

  • A good Computer Science degree preferred, but we would consider strong graduates from other disciplines with the right experience
  • Strong Javascript skills, and use of JS/Node tooling (e.g. webpack)
  • Good experience with .Net (C#/F#)
  • Strong CSS / HTML and understanding of design principles
  • Good knowledge of at least one popular front-end framework (e.g. React, Angular, Blazor, Vue)
  • Experience of working with cloud technologies (Azure / AWS / Google)
  • Experience with database technologies, such as SQL Server / MongoDB
  • Must have a good grasp of modern practices including Git, SOLID principles, TDD, CI/CD

Desirable Skills

The ideal candidate would have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Typescript (or other transpiled language)
  • Experience with functional programming, F# in particular
  • Authentication / authorisation and security principles
  • .Net Core
  • Socket technologies, such as SignalR
  • Experience with Azure ecosystem (AKS, Event Hubs, Functions)
  • Experience of having worked with systems involving high velocity, (live) streaming data
  • Visualisation tech like WebGL, OpenLayers
