Rate: £600 - £700 per day

Duration: 12 month assignment

My client is a pioneer of a first of it's kind, industry specific p2p, AI & Blockchain driven supply chain platform, which has taken the industry by storm - 9 of the world's largest brands within this sector are currently on the platform

Platform status after 8 months: Just launched Beta to 9 of the worlds largest brands, with a wide array of B2B applications in-line to sit within the platform. Exciting times to say the least, with the FE roadmap looking creative, complex and innovative to say the least.

Squads:Backend , FE, AI, Blockchain, Devops, Data, PO's, QA (all onshore)

Tech stack includes: React, ES6+, Python, Blockchain, Rust, AWS, Docker, K8'setc

Company size: 45 (Growing by the day!)

Stability: My client is owned by the world's largest, global provider within their market (£Billion brand), resulting in no concern for re-investment/funding etc.

Who is my client looking for?

• An exceptionally talented Senior Engineer, with deep knowledge of modern JS, with extensive React skills
• Experienced across mentoring and developing best practice with engineers
• Natural problem solver and communicator

• 5+ years working with JS
• Either currently or working towards the role of 'LeadEngineer'
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrable experience of fulfilling client needs
• Extended experience with ReactJS
• Understanding of ES6+
• Strong modular CSS skills
• Experience of REST service integration
• understanding of the HTTP protocol
• Experience with NodeJS
• Advocate of web standards and best practices
• Experience with Git / Gitflow
• Experience with Agile development environment
• Experience of testing and strategy using tools like TestCafe

Highly Desirable:

• Working knowledge of Docker
• Back-end experience in Python
• Experience with VueJS
• Experience with Typescript
• Experience with using Jira for product tracking / management
• Experience with developing secure web applications

Role title: Full Stack Software Engineer Contractor (Java 11, Kotlin, Angular7)

Salary: £700-£800 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months
Location: London (Zone1)

We are currently hiring for a talented Software Engineer to join a market-leading FinTech. Whilst they are a very established company they have a relatively new and modern engineering department in London. As a result, they can offer you greenfield development and complex problems to solve whilst enjoying a high level of autonomy and influence within the Spotify squads model.

Their SaaS platform is built with a microservices architecture with multiple web/mobile applications built on top. They use Java 11 on the back end and they are leveraging a combination of open source and third-party libraries/frameworks such as Eureka, MongoDB, ElasticSearch and Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Other technologies they use include Kotlin, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, CloudBees, Angular 6/8, TypeScript and many more!

Essential requirements:

- Experience with Java 8 and Java 11

- Good coding ability with JavaScript and experience using Angular 6/7

- Experience with both relational and non-relational databases

- Experience with various cloud-based technologies

- Experience with REST API design and microservices architecture.

- Understanding of HTTP, Caching and headers etc...

- Desire to work in a cross functional agile team
