You love development. You’ve been doing it for more years than you’d care to divulge and you’ve learned loads along the way. Staying up to date with tech is hard, but you prioritise it because it’s what gets you up in the morning.

You’ve met hundreds of fascinating and intelligent people in your time and now have been doing what you love for long enough that they let you lead teams quite a while ago. Through practice and trial and error, you’ve learned how to get the best out of your team and have a proven track record of leading successful software teams and projects. That doesn’t matter though because disparate teams and tech are now your thing- you can bring them together so that distance means nothing to you- it’s a small world now!

But…you’re now bored where you are- you’ve done all you can and the teams don’t need you as much anymore, or, you’ve not got the freedom you once had.

Do not fear. Read on.

If you are sitting there, reading this, thinking, how do they know who I am and why are they talking about me in a job advert, then apply now- this is the one. These roles don’t come around often so now is your chance!

This company is extremely ambitious, I’ve personally placed the Head of engineering within the business and know the Director pretty well as I’ve personally been recruiting for them close to a decade, recently they have won over some major contracts and are looking to scale both their infrastructure and development teams. This is all down to the effort and love put in, every day, from people like you. They have 6 people in their dev team, as it stands, 8 within technical support and some off-shore help too. You’d be responsible for the development team (both UK and off-shore), platform architecture and potentially creating a software testing function creating to ensure the quality of software is on point!

You will have a lot of freedom over architecture and strategy decisions, continue to grow the team, and understand DevOps practices, motivation for tools to enable CI and CD, strong software architecture knowledge and experiences, including patterns of scalability and extensibility.

As a quick run-through, here are the key points you’ll need for the role, from the huge amount of text above;

  • You’re in your element in open source technologies, have a solid understanding of Python and or C/C++/Java/PHP development, fluency in Linux will also be part of your territory.
  • You’ve previously been a technical lead / team lead in various development projects and are comfortable with getting the best out of other developers.
  • Your strategy and architecture expertise will know no bounds

So, what are you waiting for? You know you tick all the boxes. You’ve read this far.

Apply now and let’s have a chat about your new role. Yas on 0115-7180073
