Senior Middle Office Analyst - OUTSIDE IR35

We are currently working with one of our biggest client's who are based in the heart of London.  We are looking for a Senior Middle Office Analyst for a 6 month engagenet OUTSIDE OF IR35.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Middle office activities as well as Oversight Control of outsourced activities
  • Queries handling from internal and external clients across Europe
  • Be particularly analyst and rigorous while performing tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Manage and/or escalate conflicts, issues with respective stakeholders, being proactive.
  • To be the main contact point for: Front Office Department, External Providers & Internal Ops stakeholders on many wide-ranging issues and queries 
  • Build credible, trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to take the lead on various topics / in meetings
  • Write and/or update operational procedures
  • Cross training with other team members
  • Participation on various projects/initiatives related to Ops Department
  • Drive and propose improvement to current processes 

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Middle Office activities
  • Understanding of full trade life cycle including awareness of middle and back office functions / processes and their touch points with the front office and downstream
  • Experience in management of outsourced activities & provider monitoring required
  • Good Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity instruments
  • Knowledge of Derivatives instruments is a plus
  • Solid understanding of the data required to support functions within the investment process – both in the Back and the Middle Office
  • Creative and hands-on, ready to think outside the box and add input / challenge to improve existing workflows
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and delivery focused
  • Good Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
  • VBA skills is a plus
