Our client a London Market insurer has a requirement for a Claims Analytics Analyst to join their City based team. The ideal candidate will have insurance industry experience, and will have ideally worked in a claims team. The role will help drive analytics across the business moving forward

Key Responsibilities:


The Claims Analytics Analyst will be responsible for helping to shape and deliver the analytics capabilities for the Claims department. This includes:

  • Increasing the use of internal and external data in Claims for analysis
  • Ensure the reporting strategy (both Power BI and SSRS) is aligned with the central MI strategy
  • Regular engagement with colleagues throughout claims and the wider business to ensure the data and reporting is fit-for-purpose
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for Claims data at the client

Skills and Experience:

  • Recent experience of an MI or Analytics role in the Insurance industry
  • Experience of working in with the Claims department - desirable
  • Science based graduate degree - desirable
  • Advanced SQL
  • Advance Exel
  • Experience of producing reports/visualisations - ideally in SSRS &or Power BI
  • Can produce code in at least one language beyond SQL (e.g. VBA, R, Python) - desirable

They are in charge of: Production Classification, Denied Party Streaming, Product Restriction Screening and Duties and Tax Calculations.

They have one application that is constantly developing and growing out it's API. Due to demands their development team are up-skilling and progressing, this is the reason they have multiple hires.

They have teams globally across the UK, Isle of Man, Australia and the USA. They are offering a fully remote role with quarterly meet ups in their main location of Isle of Man. All travel and accommodation would be covered.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience with Node.js
  • Python experience is beneficial but not required

THE ROLE

The role will own the Data & BI transformation as well as leading the team through to becoming a modern and successful data function. Management responsibility will be for a small team, where you will be the lead when it comes to reporting, delivering insight to senior stakeholders (Power BI) and based on your success, hire an analyst in the future.

Main duties include:

  • Lead company wide Business Intelligence & Reporting
