Your role
Your role will have multiple responsibilities including:
  • Oversee the team in building and developing solutions to meet project requirements
  • Full line management responsibility of developers in your team
  • Defining projects gates, versions or sprints to regulate work flow
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of software development best practices, with the ability to drive the team to embrace and apply these principles
  • Guide the team in resolving complex issues in specialised areas based on existing solutions and procedures
  • Manage and fix identified security vulnerabilities
  • Hands on full stack development at a Lead level
  • Identify new tools and technologies to improve processes or implement additional functionalities on applications
  • Provide 3rd line support and specialist advice to Ops and Project teams
  • Leading the Development team; Be a leader on projects, assign projects to different team members;
  • Training and growth of the team members; define training path and team direction.
  • Work closely with the Leadership team, providing regular progress reports and escalation of issues where necessary.
  • Help implement new processes to meet strategic goals and direction
  • Engage in relations with other development, architectural and networking/engineering teams including those in Member Firms.
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Requirements:
  • Full stack development experience building cloud applications and solutions using Python, Django/Flask, HTML, CSS, React/Angular/Vue etc
  • Proven experience in team leading, including remote/offshore team members
  • In depth knowledge of agile devops software development tools and methodologies (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform etc.)
  • Experience in developing and working with APIs
  • Strong database/data structures knowledge and experience
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly and pass on this knowledge to other team members
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communicator and decision maker
  • Occasional travel to other Deloitte sites
Experience in the following is desirable:

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:
  • Implementing Cloud technologies

Your role
As a practitioner in Data & Analytics Modernisation, you are responsible for delivering Data on Azure Cloud projects. Your role
You will be responsible for cloud native development, collaborating with software and operational teams in the creation and ongoing management of cloud services. While we work predominantly with the Microsoft stack you will be adaptable and experienced enough to work with a variety of technologies.   • Management and delivery of software making appropriate use of emerging technologies and helping transform the development team to use cloud native design approaches and services.

  • Line management of a small team of engineers.
  • Accountable for maintaining systems to required SLAs, prioritizing maintenance windows and releases, liaising with the wider Deloitte team to implement global standards and security controls.
  • Contributes and adheres to development standards and controls across the UK firm.
  • Recommend improvements and refactoring to systems enhancing; stability, security and maintainability.
  • Managing and prioritizing team workload and delegating activities via daily SCRUM meetings
  • Advising stakeholders on the implications of alternative solutions. Work within a product centric environment to deliver capability within set timescales and measured against given milestones
  • Participate in all aspects of the project software development life cycle including; solution design, business analysis, testing, documentation and deployment.

Your professional experience

This role is based in our airy and bustling offices in Clerkenwell, London, with its legendary coffee machine and model train track, you’ll also have a chance to work with clients throughout Europe and beyond.

Essential
  • Have a clear point of view on what good looks like for customer service, and where new technologies are taking customer service in the future.
  • Relevant experience, in at least two of the following: Developing and designing customer service and digital strategies, Customer Experience, User Experience and/or Service Design or Service operations design (contact centre, field service or retail)
  • Experience working on digital delivery projects such as a business analyst, agile coach, delivery manager, product owner, user researcher, CX/UX designer and or developer.
  • Experience of working in a project-based environment, liaising with customers throughout the entire solution delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience influencing in complex situations where stakeholders do not always agree about methods, choices and strategic direction.
  • A balance of logical problem solving and innovative thinking.
  • A willingness to travel and work across the UK and Europe.
