The Operations Analyst will join a successful team supporting market leading software with our high-profile financial services client, working in a global capacity.

The position will suit a technically minded, Support Analyst, with previous experience supporting live software systems. You will receive excellent exposure to the financial services software industry and mentoring within a strong team focused environment.

We will consider applications from both Junior Support Analysts looking to take that next step in their career and from more experienced professionals.

What you will be doing

The Operations Analyst takes responsibility for the support of the live software systems for one or more FIS clients.

The job involves owning and maintaining processes and data structures on live servers, researching and replicating software and hardware issues, implementing workarounds and driving issue resolution.

The tasks involve general Windows administration, database configuration, scripting and general problem-solving techniques.

The role will involve occasional travel.

Key Duties:

• Work with FIS Application Consultants to plan software releases from inception to deployment
• Deployment of software and batch processes to live servers
• Housekeeping and management of the Client’s environments hosted by FIS
• Research and replication of software and hardware issues
• Determine workarounds and issue resolution
• This will require a detailed analysis of the business user requirements and workflow processes
• Collection and analysis of stats and data relating to performance

What you bring:

• Experience of supporting live systems or other experience of working with and troubleshooting software in a business setting
• An interest in working with the financial services software industry
• Microsoft Windows (Advanced level)
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• SQL Server
• We are seeking a technically minded individual

Added bonus if you have:

Job Description

Due to continuing growth, we now have a requirement for a People Data Analyst to be based from our Head Office in Cheadle, Greater Manchester.

Reporting to the People Analytics Manager, the People Data Analyst will be a key individual in ensuring the completeness, accuracy, connectivity & robustness of all HR & Facilities related data, as well as supporting the company-wide People Costs budgets and forecasts.

The successful candidate will be a driven individual with a can-do attitude, have a keen eye for detail, good problem solving skills, and a flexibility of thinking.

We will give you the support, skills and tools that you need to be successful if you can bring the drive, personality and desire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production, maintenance and distribution of regular reporting;
  • Development of MI and identifying areas of insight;
  • Support the development and delivery of annual People Costs budget and quarterly forecasts working closely with business areas;
  • Identify key data risks, proposing mitigation and controls within the department;
  • Provide support and direction for colleagues in the rollout of new MI suites and dashboards;
  • Streamline processes / data within HR & Facilities to ensure efficiency and compliance;
  • Further automate existing manual reporting across all business areas;
  • Ad-hoc reporting required by the business.

Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or analytical role;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Highly proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite;
  • Proficient at queries, report writing and presenting findings;
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Highly organised, with a flexible approach to work, and the ability to multi-task effectively.

Candidates who are able to demonstrate the below will be given additional consideration:

  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Visual Basic (VBA);
  • Experience working with costs / financial information / budgets etc.
