You will have the opportunity to work with a talented and forward-thinking technology team pushing the boundaries within electronic engineering. This role has some flexibility with working arrangements with some remote work on offer.

You will -

  • Remain hands-on, working on a front office platform using cutting edge tech - Java, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.
  • Lead a small team of developers and work with senior managers in the project
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the full development lifecycle
  • Experience in the end-to-end design, development and support of financial markets systems
  • Have the ability to work and liaise directly with the Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control and various risk functions

Skills & Experience

  • Strong Java skills
  • Good tech leadership experience
  • Any experience in distributed data stores a plus
  • Functional programming experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge and previous experience in end-to-end design, development and subsequent support of large-scale data processing systems

  1. Provide an IT & quantitative research function for FX options business. This includes designing, developing, testing and implementing software solutions required by front office staff covering both vanilla and exotic FX options
  1. Develop and maintain FX options pricing system based on the functionalities available in the FX analytics library to be used globally by FX options business.
  1. Ensure well tested and robust implementation of new functionalities and ensure efficient release process for new versions of the software.
  1. Ensure robust connection of the front office FX options pricing systems, FOX and Muse, with Risk Engine/ FCO blotter trades database to allow downloading of the live trades into the pricing system and, at a later stage, live book valuation results from the Risk Engine, Jetstream, for some market data feed, such as FX forwards and FX volatilities from the vol aggregator
