Snr Quality Analyst (QA) Engineer- Reading

£60 to £65k basic + Flexi/remote working

My client, an international full-service digital agency based in Reading is looking to hire a Snr QA Engineer/Tester, working onsite with a great team, including flexi working and the ability to work from home sometimes.

The Agency strategise, design, and develop digital solutions for the private and public sector. Their international team across UK and Netherlands of over 100 professionals work between both locations delivering exceptional solutions.

You will work with high profile clients and manage challenging impactful projects, as well as have the opportunity to work within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. They offer on the job project experience, training and encourage knowledge sharing amongst colleagues, including Academy days, time to spend for yourself as well as time to develop your work-related initiatives.

As our Snr QA Tester you will be responsible for testing all the software that is built within your team (and offer support to other teams when required), and you will do so in close collaboration with the developers. You are in close contact with our customers and anyone else who is involved in the process of functional design and test planning. This includes integration and acceptance testing and debugging support. Oh, and you have to document and report all the issues you come across in test reports.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Test all the software that is built within your team, and offer support to other teams when needed.

Keep in close contact with our customers and anyone else who is involved in the process of functional design and test planning.

Get issues resolved and moved on by providing your technical input when required.

Create test cases and test plans.

Define and execute functional, automation and performance test plans and strategies.

Participate in implementing the Continuous Integration practice.

Ensure the quality of the delivered work of the cross-functional development team.

Test software before release to our clients; This includes integration and acceptance testing.

Offer debugging support to developers.

Document and report all the issues you come across in test reports.

WE ASK FOR

Working experience in an Agile environment including methods like Scrum.

3-5 years working experience in testing with web based applications.

Experience with browser compatibility and manual testing.

Knowledge of the software development life cycle.

Knowledge of QA automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber and Robot would be fantastic.

Certification of ISTQB, ISEB and/or TMAP would be great.

Experience with the version control system Git

Experience with performance/load testing would be an advantage.

The ability and willingness to travel abroad

You are independent, communicative, flexible and you can prioritise.
