It goes without saying you'll have good communication skills who is capable (and likes!) working with a team, as well as the ability to work independently, managing your own time. In time there will be an opportunity to help in building & leading the team.

In return the client offers a competitive salary (£38,000 - 58000 in Devon & £45,000 - 69,000 in London) & a strong benefits package including a 10% bonus, share options, flexible working policy, a half day per week of training time, pension & of course working on one of the most interesting innovative areas in healthcare today.

Skills.

Essentials.

Proven JavaScript & professional web development experience including string understanding JavaScript fundamentals - in particular inheritance, composition.
Solid understanding of HTML5, LESS/CSS3, JQuery & Bootstrap
Experience with JavaScript frameworks (i.e. React + Redux, Angular, Vue etc.)
General knowledge of both front-end & back-end technologies
Experience with Datatables or similar excel-like library.

Nice to haves:

Strong knowledge of security for common web site vulnerabilities
Full-stack development experience a huge plus
Search Experience - Elasticsearch/Kibana

The successful Front End developers main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain web applications

  • A degree in computer science, computing or other numerate subject, or equivalent experience.

  • Evidence of an ability to participate effectively in a team environment and be able to work independently on allocated tasks to demanding deadlines.
  • An ability to communicate with stakeholders to advise on progress and interpret requirements .

Desirable:

  • Experience of the Angular framework would be beneficial.
  • Experience of the Leaflet mapping library would be useful.
  • Knowledge of the AWS cloud computing platform.
  • Experience with open source technologies.
