Are you a Senior Developer with Architecture Experience or an aspiring Architect looking to work with a global brand across 2 major programmes of work?

Our client, a global brand who are an industry leader in their field are looking for a Solutions Architect to work across their Azure platform focusing on the development of both high and low level designs. The Architect role is responsible for overseeing the translation of business and technical requirements into blueprints, proposals, technical tasks and development stories that align with the clients overall technology vision.

Technical skillset required for this Solutions Architect position;

• Experience of Azure (Service Bus, APIM, Key Vault, Azure Functions, Azure/SQL Server)
• Experience engaging in the development of both high and low-level design
• Experience working with;
• ARM Templates
• C#
• Angular
• XML
• RESTful services
• JSON
• .Net Framework
• Javascript
• HTML
• NoSQL document storage
• JQuery
• Web API
• Agile methodologies
• Desirable experience includes Insurance and Claims management, .NET Core and Biztalk

Responsibilities required for this Solutions Architect;

• Understands and translates business requirements to architectural blueprints
• Gathers and identifies solution needs; assists in defining the architecture
• Defines, creates and evaluates processes; identifies and recommends process improvements; designs solutions using knowledge of business strategy, security, technologies and architectural methods
• Develops, documents and maintains overall view of architectural blueprints
• Collaborates with Engineers on the direction for the development of solutions or enhancements.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging architectural methods and technologies for application to the environment
• Listens to and evaluates customer needs to determine, provide, and identify high quality solutions that align with customer expectations
• Provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments

Database Administrator - £50,000- £60,000

Database Administrator Urgently required for a market leading business based in Cambridge. My client is looking for DBA’s with experience across SQL and Oracle databases. You will be part of a strong team of Database administrators you will be dealing various DBA tasks collaborating with other business units. In return my client is offering a competitive salary + great Benefits and a fantastic working environment.

Responsibilities

·Demonstrate sound technical skills in Database and all its related technologies by designing and implementing solutions

·Understand the root cause of all the outages and take remediation steps to prevent the recurrence of the problem.

·Provide guidance to the junior team members both in technical and functional areas

·Proactively seek areas of improvement both in technical and process areas and take steps to implement them – setting standards and documenting standards.

·Maintain positive relationships with the user community, peers and the management.

Essential

·Experience supporting SQL Server (2008-2016)

.Oracle Databases including 10G 11G and 12G

.PL/SQL

·Experience of carrying out relevant DBA tasks – Installs, Stored procedures, backups, recoveries, monitoring systems, maintaining high availability, performance tuning, Migrations.

·Experience of SQL Always On High Availability

·T-SQL scripting

·Familiar with Windows and Unix operating systems

·Must support the 24/7 production on-call rota and be prepared to provide out of hours support as and when required
