Job Title Lead Java Developer

Location Glasgow

As a Lead Java Developer, you'll be supporting a Greenfield project focused on leveraging the best web based practices to build out a first class customer and client experience for Wealth, while helping deliver an unprecedented quantity of change through the full change life cycle. To allow us to do this a design team is being established to implement the architecture, tools and best practices to allow us to achieve this.

You'll be taking ownership of the design and build from a Middle Tier Java/Spring perspective as well as providing technical direction to the team.

Your role
You will consult with finance and IT stakeholders to deploy solutions on Cloud Platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure and Google Cloud Platform. You will develop innovative Finance solutions enabled by cloud applications, for example: using machine learning to categorise costs based on transaction-level data and predictive analytics to support forecasting.

You will be responsible for:

Your professional experience

You will demonstrate:

Your role
You will consult with finance and IT stakeholders to deploy solutions on Cloud Platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure and Google Cloud Platform. You will develop innovative Finance solutions enabled by cloud applications, for example: using machine learning to categorise costs based on transaction-level data and predictive analytics to support forecasting.

You will be responsible for:
  • Translating complex client requirements into recommendations for appropriate solutions and products
  • Demonstrating an understanding of Analytics and Cloud tools and sharing this knowledge with our clients and internal development teams

Your professional experience

You will demonstrate:
  • Experience in a Cloud Analytics discipline within management consulting or relevant experience in industry
  • Experience of implementing Cloud solutions in Amazon Web Services, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience in programming in Java, JavaScript and/or Python etc. and in database technologies e.g. MySQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Spark etc.
