One of our friendly, close-knit technical clients are looking for a hard-working Backend Engineer to join their close-knit team. You will be working 2 days a week from their Cirencester offices and 3 days remote working.

As an international entrepreneur, our client needs an enthusiastic, professional Backend Engineer to come onboard and assist in the company’s growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the backend engineer team to ensure best practise
  • Show a willingness to learn new technologies and concepts to build on your industry knowledge
  • Ensure the quality of the systems designs are on brand and of great calibre
  • Develop the website based on agreed specifications and graphical designs
  • Understand the business needs and technical roadblocks
  • Liaise with the lead backend engineer, lead engineer and the frontend engineer
  • Ensure all code that goes to production is top quality
  • Ensure new and existing applications are scaled to meet expected demand
  • Identify and fix gaps in system reliability, such as production monitoring
  • Continuously improve the software infrastructure, such as the deployment process

Skills/ Experience:

  • Highly proficient with PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML & CSS
  • Experience using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Node
  • Experience using MVC frameworks – Laravel, Symfony, Zend
  • You will have worked in an agile/scrum environment
  • Experience using distributed content delivery networks
  • Experience using an automated testing tool, e.g. Selenium

Azure DevOps .Net Developer

We are currently in the process of establishing our "Development as a Service" global development team to increase efficiency and responsiveness across our development capabilities and products by leveraging our global strengths to uncover new opportunities and markets. The Developer will have a clear understanding of DevOps methodology, including the cultural aspects and using Azure DevOps. About the role

Assist the Development Team in the production of code as required by the Software Delivery Director. Follow QA procedures as defined by the Development Team. Gain knowledge and understanding of all Group business sectors.

You will demonstrate skills in developing, deploying, unit testing (including the development of test scripts and automation of these scripts) & debugging cloud applications. Also, you will have core knowledge of key Cloud Service Providers (including Azure) and the capabilities that they make available to developers to optimise delivery of solutions

*JavaScript and jQuery
