Due to continued growth and scalability within the platform, my client is hiring an exceptional Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to work with the talented, high performance team, ensuring reliability and to maintain, develop and scale the platform/platforms.

Being a key member of the team, your responsibilities will be varied, and will involve numerous aspects of technical operations including platform reliability, release management, tool building, fault escalation processes, fault investigation and more.

As well as this, you will be working side-by-side with my client’s talented software and DevOps Engineers to help design, build and evolve the architecture, improve software release pipeline, data management, security, and compliance procedures.

The successful candidate will possess the following experience:

  • Expert cloud compute platform knowledge; AWS (essential), Azure, GCE
  • "Serverless" architectural approach; e.g. AWS Lambda
  • Deployment automation tooling; e.g. Terraform, Ansible
  • Deep knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems
  • Extensive experience of tool creation in scripting languages; bash, Python etc
  • Package and dependency management systems; Debian, RPM, Homebrew
  • Container technologies; Docker, ECS, Fargate.
  • Monitoring and logging solutions
  • Backup and recovery techniques
