  • Play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments in the business.
  • Use Service Management System and other internal systems to log accurate and timely updates to issues.
  • Document technical activities in the form of knowledgebase articles, processes & procedures where appropriate.
Skills and experience:


  • SQL Server –Basic knowledge of administering & troubleshooting SQL server
  • Windows OS – Basic knowledge of administering & troubleshooting Windows OS (Desktop & Server)

Experienced Manual System Test Analyst sought by a large financial services organisation in Stoke-on-Trent to join their growing Software Development Team.

Squads are developing a range of services to deliver a world class customer service. Mobile applications are being developed to improve interactions between customers, clients and internal teams using Agile with Scrum to work collaboratively with the business to produce quality solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain test cases that match design specifications.
  • Carry out manual application testing, including regression testing.
  • Report software faults and follow them to resolution.
  • Create and maintain system testing artifacts
  • Work closely with members of the development team in the analysis and correction of software faults
  • Work closely with development team to deliver applications for UAT
  • Work closely with Business Analyst to understand requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Several years experience within an System Testing Role
  • SOA/Tiered applications
  • Formal testing qualification (e.g. ISEB/ISTQB certificate in Software Testing) is desirable.
  • Experience of automated testing tools, VSTS, SQL, Selenium and JIRA is desirable.
  • AGILE/SCRUM

This is a high pressured role, delivering applications to tight deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player, building strong working relationships with developers, DBA's, Business Analysts and IT Support.
