Golang developer in Chelmsford

My growing client is currently looking for a Golang developer to help create and support plugins after their transition to Gsuite. You will be working in a small team to complete this and the project is projected to last for 5 months, they currently have a budget in place for £450 per day but would consider a junior who is asking for less or a senior who can justify a higher rate!

The role has initially fallen outside of IR35 however further clarification with the right candidate will be needed. Interviews are looking to take place as soon as possible!

Commercial experience with the following is required:

System Reliability Engineer / Splunk Engineer (Broadcast)

Ideal candidate will be a system reliability engineer with experience working on various sized projects on a global scale -focusing on work with a splunk environement.

Role:

  • Contributing to the design and building of systems - looking at the operations and automating infrastructure.
  • Hosting platforms & infrastructure design - monotoring and instrumentation
  • Leading best practices to evaluate and secure splunk platform
  • Building new data sources - services/products/systems etc.
  • On boarding new technologies an ensuring high standard usage of current systems
  • Solving automation problems and scaling team operations

Experience:

  • Systems administration skills in platforms such as Linux & Windows
  • Proficiency with data technologies (MySql, NoSQL, Redis etc.)
  • A deep interest in solving complex problems, high level of communication and management
  • Expertise with Splunk - & scripting languages like Python, Java, Go, Ruby
  • Experience liaising with teams on a global scale- leading & collaborating

The Splunk Engineer will play a pivotal role in keeping Splunk available and performing, whilst promoting and on-boarding new technologies that work in conjunction with Splunk, solving complex automation and scaling issues.

Role & Responsibilities

*Play a key role in supporting and evolving the next generation Splunk platform

*Evaluate the current state of the Enterprise Splunk environment
*Consulting, Designing, Building & Supporting Advancements for a large-scale Enterprise Splunk production environment

*Expertise in multiple scripting languages and advanced skills in programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Node, Java)
