Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing new technology applications in partnership with Business and Operations stakeholders to transform the Corporate Bank - Securities Services business
  • Working with amazing people in a cross disciplined team, collaborating with Functional Analysts, Testers and User Experience Designers
  • Shaping the future of our technology stack and applying it innovatively to solve complex problems
  • Valuing a software craftsmanship approach to software development, taking pride in well-crafted software that steadily adds value

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Have an interest in Smart Contract Modelling Languages and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DAML, Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, Solidity)
  • Ability to develop reusable and performant Java/ Kotlin aligned with good architectural and design principles
  • Experience with data streaming and processing technologies (Kafka) would be beneficial
  • Significant prior experience working with Extreme Programming practices and Agile software methodologies
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Test Driven Development and Behavioral Driven Development practices
  • Practical experience with modern SRE/ DevOps build chains and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery tools (Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins or TeamCity)
  • Have experience of deployment to containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Desirable to have experience with search engine technologies and tooling (Elasticsearch & Kibana)
  • Working knowledge of building Microservices with Representational state transfer (REST)
  • Desirable to have experience of building single page web applications, with SPA Javascript libraries (React/ Angular)
