Automation Software Tester - Sheffield

Hands-on Software Tester with Automation Skills needed for a brand new role based just South of Sheffield!

The successful candidate will have a significant input on the QA/testing process and be integral in reviewing and improving QA/testing procedures.

This is a company where the testing team are valued as a hugely important part of the process - testers are integrated from the start of the software development lifecycle, rather than being an add-on at the middle or the end, so continuous testing is a key focus for this team.

An opportunity to join a multi-national team, this position will provide a successful candidate with a broad range of experience working with complex implementations of many of the market leading products and technologies.

Projects here focus upon aiding a variety of different client's to advance productivity, safety and environmental performance.

The firm are well on their way to fully transitioning into Agile practice, having just undergone a brand new office refurb with new & improved break out spaces for the entire IT team where its all hands on deck to complete modern projects as quickly as possible.



The Role

You will provide test coverage throughout the creation and implementation of test scripts and their review. You will also ensure that scripts maintain quality standards through their lifecycle including upgrades and enhancements.

You will take care of existing Automation test scripts specifically and be committed to bringing new ideas and perspectives in to improve overall Automation Testing. We need someone who loves problem-solving and dynamic working, someone who can work to understand issues and be passionate about solving these!



Key Skills & Experience

To perform this job successfully, you should have the following:
** Knowledge of at least one Automation test tool
** Experience testing in an Agile environment
** A fan of dynamic work
** Knowledge of Git, Jira and C.I.


Advantagous Experience

** Internal and external client liasing
** Ability to present technological workflows to non-technical personnel
** Building Automation frameworks from scratch



Location & Salary

Located just South of Sheffield, commute would be very comfortable for those who live in the City itself or the surrounding Derbyshire area.

The company are looking to offer anything from £30,000 to £45,000 for the right candidate along with their benefits package. With an increasingly flexible workforce they are also supportive of tailoring to the individual wherever possible.
