Our client located in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is looking to recruit a Principal Real-time Software Engineer with excellent Linux kernel experience. Principal Real-Time Software Engineer Linux candidate requirements must have a good working knowledge of the Linux kernel, Linux kernel drivers, x86 microarchitecture, platforms and networking. Main projects you would be working on are a Windows 10 upgrade, a cms system implementation and an HR and payroll project.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have the following skills and experience:

  1. Recent Project Management experience preferably in an educational or NFP organisation
  2. Full project life cycle experience from project initiation to completion including project discovery, process and requirements gathering, implementation, testing, training and transition into BAU.
  3. Experience of delivering projects within budget to agreed deadlines
  4. Experience of documenting processes and requirements, facilitating workshops and holding meetings with key stakeholders to identify business needs and obtaining sign-off.
  5. Experience of ITT process including producing documentation and scoring applications
  6. Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to engage at all levels
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals.
  8. Excellent documentation skills including production of robust requirements documentation, process maps, business cases and tender documents.
  9. Strong problem solving capability with a logical approach
  10. PRINCE2/ PMP and ITIL qualifications desirable
