My client are engaged with a huge client base internationally where they provide state of the art software solutions catering for the private and public sector.
 
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
 
  • Changes requested on existing client setups & products
  • Contribute in streamlining the product set up and maintenance process (tools and techniques) including the automation of changes and liaise with the relevant development teams
  • Document new processes, new tools and new functionality. Train other team members on these where required.
  • Change Management (writing change procedure for deploying to the production environment). Scripting (shell/SQL) to deploy changes onto Unix/oracle environment.
  • Provide work effort estimates for new Projects and Change Requests
  • Review and refine changes to ensure accuracy and minimise all possible risk
  • Provide out of hours support on a rota basis for team changes
 
You will have the following skills:
 
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL – ability to develop complex SQL queries
  • Windows scripting knowledge or programming languages (Java, HTML, XML).
  • Experience of Windows server and client operating systems.
  • First class communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Server and software diagnostic skills.
  • Logical methodology to problem solving.
