About The Role
As a Solutions Architecture Practice Lead you’ll play a key role in the Enterprise Architecture team. We’re at the beginning of an exciting maturity journey involving a lot of change. This is a great opportunity to get involved, learn new things and shape a new practice that’s at the heart of this change.
Leading a team of circa. 15 people, you’ll focus on supporting and developing the team to deliver a high quality architecture service. You’ll build strong working relationships with the wider IT team and our Change teams to support them in adapting towards a more agile way of working.
You’ll also be responsible for providing expertise and leadership in:
• Providing services to the change management community by way of resources, governance support and design consultations.
• The regular, timely and accurate reporting of solutions architecture related performance and risks to relevant committees.
• Introducing new techniques, products, services, technologies and standards where needed against identified use cases, via the appropriate governance bodies
• Leading the shaping, design and development of business solutions that are aligned with standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls.
About You
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience of solutions architecture and solution oversight, who can confidently act as a subject matter expert. You’ll engage positively with key stakeholders and where necessary deputise for the Head of Enterprise Architecture.
It’s essential you have experience of leading and influencing the practice of architecture. You’ll be architecture certified (such as TOGAF) and also have previous experience of leading a team. A key requirement of the role is a demonstrable understanding of how solutions architecture works in an Agile world. You’ll also:
• Be highly effective at both written and verbal communication with substantial experience of writing committee papers
• Have well developed analytical, planning and organising skills, an attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
