Senior Solutions Architect (M365 & Cloud)

To £110,000 + bonus

I’m currently working with a leading Cloud Transformation Partner who is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect / Workstream Lead to join their ranks. They are industry leaders across Digital & Technical transformation working on some of the most prestigious client engagements adopting a Cloud First approach to their Enterprise Transformations. The ideal candidate:

  • A technical authority on delivery projects/programmes across as much of the M365 stack as possible (any specific SME areas to be identified)
  • Able to support and coral other technical consultants on the same project/programme
  • Confident and comfortable in front of CxE and board level individuals
  • Able to work closely with project and engagement managers for workstream deliverables and timings etc.
  • A true Cloud architect that is involved with customer deliverables (not above getting hands on)
  • Possess an ability to advise and deliver on the product and services you are positioning with the customer
  • Have a great knowledge of the M365 suite
  • Produce high quality written content and copy, supported by powerful presentations, together with sales proposals

Demonstrable knowledge including planning, design, migration, troubleshooting and DR\Business Continuity solutions relating to full cloud and hybrid solutions.

A proven track record in consulting around Microsoft technologies and successful Office 365 implementations and migrations

You will be responsible for:       

  • IT Health Checks

  • TCO Modelling

  • Business Case creation

  • Technical Remediation / Implementation Plans

  • Conceptual and High Level Designs

  • Cloud Service Design / Model

  • Modern Workplace Roadmapping

Microsoft Cloud architecture knowledge including;

  • Microsoft 365 
  • EM+S suite
  • Identity and Access Management  
  • Office365 suite
  • Endpoint Management
  • Windows 10 etc

Other Key Requirements:

Ability to go through SC clearance

As a Solutions Architecture Practice Lead you’ll play a key role in the Enterprise Architecture team. We’re at the beginning of an exciting maturity journey involving a lot of change. This is a great opportunity to get involved, learn new things and shape a new practice that’s at the heart of this change.

Leading a team of circa. 15 people, you’ll focus on supporting and developing the team to deliver a high quality architecture service. You’ll build strong working relationships with the wider IT team and our Change teams to support them in adapting towards a more agile way of working.

You’ll also be responsible for providing expertise and leadership in:


• Providing services to the change management community by way of resources, governance support and design consultations.
• The regular, timely and accurate reporting of solutions architecture related performance and risks to relevant committees.
• Introducing new techniques, products, services, technologies and standards where needed against identified use cases, via the appropriate governance bodies
• Leading the shaping, design and development of business solutions that are aligned with standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience of solutions architecture and solution oversight, who can confidently act as a subject matter expert. You’ll engage positively with key stakeholders and where necessary deputise for the Head of Enterprise Architecture.

It’s essential you have experience of leading and influencing the practice of architecture. You’ll be architecture certified (such as TOGAF) and also have previous experience of leading a team. A key requirement of the role is a demonstrable understanding of how solutions architecture works in an Agile world. You’ll also:


• Be highly effective at both written and verbal communication with substantial experience of writing committee papers


• Have well developed analytical, planning and organising skills, an attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

A leading IT services organisation are seeking a Senior Citrix Consultant join their team on a permanent basis in their enterprise professional services team. The role will be focused on the design and delivery of EUC Citrix solutions.

The role is home-based but as clients are mainly based in the South we are only considering sensible locations - circa 1.5 hours from London.

The ideal candidate will be from an IT Services background. Must have a driving license and be willing to travel UK wide; in line with the requirements of the role.

Role Responsibilities:
Creation of technical documentation including;

  • Low Level Designs / High Level Designs
  • Acting as a technical lead for large scale projects for design decisions or technical escalations
  • Diagrams, BoM
  • Statement of Works (SoW)
  • Design, implementation, migration and testing of best practice solutions
  • Creation and presentation of customer facing documentation
  • Involvement and running of project design workshops

Key Technologies:

  • Citrix - XenServer, StoreFront, XenApp, XenDesktop, Netscaler, Provisioning Services
  • Microsoft - App-V, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Windows Desktop
  • VMware - vSphere Horizon
  • VEEAM back up and storage solutions

You will be able to understand and interpret output from tooling & manual penetration tests as well as continuously develop and review their internal processes to drive business maturity. Ensuring that applications & systems at the heart of the business are secure and safe.

You will have:

  • Strong understanding of information security principles & polocies
  • Strong knowledge of common Web and Mobile vulnerabilities
  • Experience with security tooling such as SAST, DAST, dependency checking tooling and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience working with infrastructure and development teams to embed security into new infrastructure and applications.
  • Skills to automate your tasks (ideally using Python, Perl or Bash)
  • Experience of working with CICD environments and using common CICD technologies such as Jenkins and container technology such as Docker.
  • The ability to ensure that identified issues are prioritised and addressed in an appropriate timeframe.
  • Ability to translate the security risk and impact to other departments and stakeholders.
