The Role

  • To ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and to supervise both full time and any temporary staff working in the warehouse
  • Take ownership for position held and be accountable
  • To receive any orders to the warehouse from various couriers, to check and put into stock and complete any paperwork relating to the deliveries, Purchase Order etc. Ensuring all computerised updates are completed
  • Ensure all products delivered in from suppliers are quality checked by warehouse staff to conform to product specification sheets where applicable
  • Liaise with Sales, Administration, Purchasing and Production departments to ensure smooth running of orders
  • Complete required documentation relating to the despatch of Dangerous Goods
  • To pick, pack and despatch all orders generated from the sales office to go via courier, to log all information onto computer courier database
  • To Build BOM's from production runs
  • To assist in BOM costing's
  • Organise and schedule couriers and freight companies for UK and Export deliveries.
  • Organise month end stock takes and all pre-counting. Ensure enough overtime cover to complete stock takes in the require time frame.
  • To ensure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy in line with Health & Safety regulations.
  • To ensure the samples are completed as and when required and to assist when and if required
  • To complete all ISO-Warehouse-Purchasing monthly reports
  • To ensure all FLT checks are completed as and when required
  • To ensure the FLT's are maintained and serviced as and when required
  • Ensure staff are trained with the requirements of the warehouse
  • Complete Warehouse staff inductions
  • To assist when necessary with any other tasks as requested by the Technical Director.

The Candidate:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Self-Motivation/personal time management
  • The ability to supervise a small team
  • The ability to work both as a team member and alone
  • The ability to complete written documentation relating to the position
  • The ability to compile monthly reports relating to position using Excel & Word
