Senior Sales – Market Data, Financial Markets

£60,000 - £80,000 + commission + benefits 

The company

A leading provider of market data and software used by buy and sell-side firms globally is looking to recruit a Senior Salesperson in London to cover the UK & Ireland market. My client is renowned for developing the careers of their employees through training and by offering attractive careers paths. You will work as part of high-performing team responsible for selling a range of pricing, reference and regulatory data to new and existing customers.

The role

  • Selling a data and other services to customers in your assigned territory of the UK and Ireland
  • Understand client requirements and pain points across the front, middle and back office to identify which products and services will best support their business
  • Meet your agreed annual sales quota
  • Work with subject matter experts internally as well as the teams responsible for delivering the products and services
  • Maintain an update to date and accurate sales CRM

Requirements

  • Previous experience selling market data and/or related products to either buy or sell-side customers
  • Proven record of meeting annual sales targets
  • Excellent client facing and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge about the keys drivers in the financial markets at present for example current regulation
  • The ability to generate pipeline through cold-calling, networking, existing contacts and conversion of inbound leads
