Automation Tester

One of our Data Intelligence specialist clients is looking for an Automation Tester to join their growing team. You will be responsible for automating the testing of the business' flagship product. You will provide value to their customers by delivering quality working software at a pace supporting UI, API and mobile projects in a microservice architecture.
This role is a 12 month FTC.

Automation Tester duties will include, but not limited to:
* Participating in squad based agile ceremonies and work closely with software engineers, product owners, architects and designers
* Delivering test artefacts built to validate the specification in the form of BDD, UI, API and mobile automated validation to a high standard
* Reducing the risk through clear analysis of designs & stories, tailored reporting and clear line management and stakeholder escalation
* Identifying and managing defects within squads with a view of preventing customer facing issues
* Developing and maintaining automation test cases
* Producing test suites using Selenium Web Driver, Java bases REST, Appium

As the Automation Tester you will be required to possess:
* Working knowledge of API automation (REST or SOAP) using RestAssured or similar
* Expertise in building/implementing POM's, externally data driving tests, keyword driven assertions using Selenium, package management tools (Maven)
* Extensive working experience using Java, JUnit, behaviour driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber
* Good understanding of mock services, mocking, stubbing and service virtualisation using tools like Mocklabs
* Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test practices within them using; Azure Devops, Docker, Terraform, AWS and Powershell
* Working practice of version control and code repositories (GIT)
* ISTQB/ISEB certified
