AI (Artificial Intelligence) Online Consultant

An Artificial Intelligence Consultant is required for our public sector client based in Leeds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing, co-designing and developing academic content and materials for learners studying an online Masters in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Candidates who are able to develop online modules in Programming for Data Science

(Python) are highly desirable.

You will be supported by one of the UK’s leading teams of experts in the creation and delivery of digital online resources. Working with the Digital Education Service Course Design Managers, you will provide appropriate technical content for use online. You will also play a key role in the development of a new portfolio of digital modules and programmes in AI. The modules will include programming, machine learning, data science, knowledge representation and deep learning.

You will also be involved in influencing new sector-leading online learning materials and contributing to innovative assessment methods.

Requirements

You will have a PhD (or close to completion) or extensive relevant industrial experience in Artificial Intelligence or a closely allied discipline, with specific expertise in AI.

You need to be academically competent to write materials in a setting that expedites the learning of students at the appropriate level. You will have demonstrable skills to successfully manage a range of projects and activities, including the capability to communicate effectively, good time management and planning skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure are required. Excellent written, verbal and graphical communication skills will be needed.

Experience of teaching or training/mentoring in the area of Computer Science would be advantageous.

Your new company are a well established insurance company based in the HAPPIEST CITY IN THE UK and are recognised all over the world in locations such as Singapore, Poland, USA, Mexico and many others. They provide a number of services to their clientele and have a a new exciting project which they need support with on the end to end test automation side.

Your new role
Your new role will be to set up & lead the End to End automation Testing for their new applications using your technical expertise. They have currently taken on a new client who they have the privilege of creating a brand new platform for them. The role will involve a mixture of on-site and off-site working and will be automating test scripts to run over night but also within an Agile environment. You will need to be an evangelist for everything Agile and be confident and competent in providing hands on technical support when required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience within the following:

  • Leading a team within an Agile environment
  • Be competent / have good understanding of the Jira framework
  • If you have a good understanding of the following tech stacks would be desirable but not essential: Jenkins, .NET or C#
  • Be proficient in communicating to stakeholders and non-technical members of staff
  • Happy to work on-site when required
  • Have a proven background working as a Technical Test Lead
  • Familiar with DevOps processes & procedures.


What you'll get in return
What you will get is a very competitive day rate between £550 to £600 a day and have the opportunity to work on an exciting project which will boost your portfolio. You also will get the chance to work longer term than 6 months if you get on well and be able to work remotely when necessary.
