Helpdesk operator

My client is a provider of M&E Building Services & Facilities Management, specialists in the provision of tailored and bespoke engineering and facilities solutions to a wide ranging, blue-chip client base to include Government, Corporate, and Industrial & Commercial environments respectively. Located at a large, commercial site within the Milton Keynes area, a Helpdesk operative is required to provide FM contract/technical administration support for the Client End User.

Overview of key duties and accountabilities (Please Note this is not an exhaustive list)

  • Setting up, raising and issuing of internal PPM and Reactive maintenance requirements for Electrical and Mechanical site issues.
  • Liaising with the onsite client and Internal / subcontracting engineers to provide ETA and overall updates on jobs logged.
  • Raising Maintenance Purchase Orders for onsite works.
  • Assisting Engineers with the site support for completion of works within set timescales.
  • Utilisation of Inhouse CAFM system to ensure jobs are raised and allocated within correct parameters.

Due to the nature of the work being both planned and reactive, the ideal candidate would come with some working experience / exposure to this market, having undertaken a similar Helpdesk function role within ideally a FM company or Mechanical / Electrical provider.

Due to the nature of the site the following would need to be taken into consideration before applying:

  • The role is onsite within Milton Keynes, which is accessible via Public transport or Via own transport and parking, and so even though accessible would need to take the location into account.
  • Due to the nature of the site, the role will require someone able to work under elements of pressure for Reactive requirements, along with a methodical approach for planned works also.
