Job Title Integration Engineer 
Location Knutsford 


Our Chief Security Office (CSO) is a fully global team, with colleagues across EU, Asia, Africa and the US. We support the business in ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of the firm’s assets, implementing world class security solutions. We’ve already implemented a strong protection for our business, but we need to adapt to the rapid change in the cyber arena. We need to ensure we detect security alerts quickly, then react, respond and recover.


As an Integration Engineer, you’ll will deliver high quality software to integrate our security tooling together and to other systems within the bank. This includes development of bespoke solutions as well as integration of 3rd party software using predominantly Python programming skills.


What will you be doing?


Integrating systems via API connectivity, building those APIs where they don’t exist
Writing code and testing code integrating them with another system
Automating and streamlining manual processes in security with consideration of the risks involved
Delivering software in an agile manner, working closely with stakeholders and other developers to fail-fast and produce excellent solutions
Mentoring junior colleagues and provide guidance and input on design and capabilities to be built
Building and maintaining frameworks for use by other developers, and be comfortable using 3rd party integration frameworks 
Operating a stable stack of technologies


What we’re looking for:


Experience in developing large complex applications in a Python ecosystem
REST API development both providing an API and consuming from it


Skills that will help you in the role:


Developing for cloud and knowledge of development frameworks – such as boto3 for AWS

Job Title Red Team Analyst

Barclays Red Team performs group wide adversarial threat emulation activities to aid in the assessment of control and process effectiveness, against highly skilled and sophisticated attacker(s). The team operates across physical, people, process and technology in an effort to achieve well defined engagement goals and provide clarity on control effectiveness and gaps discovered along the attack path travelled across protect, monitor and response.
This can be based in Radbroke Hall or Home Based for the right candidate

What will you be doing?


• Scope and execute red team threat emulation activities against Barclays business units and the group as a whole.
• Ensure safe, quality and realistic adversarial threat simulations are delivered (either remotely or on-site) in line with red team service offerings.
• Work with peer security and technical teams to test and accelerate Barclays capabilities to secure its assets, environments and customers through threat centric thinking and collaboration.
• Lead, mentor and develop peers within the red team and CSO, to push the capabilities and develop a class leading capability.
• Provide technical findings and executive reports which highlight and clearly articulate identified strengths, gaps and opportunities in a way the targeted audience can understand and take prioritised action against.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships across the group, to develop a trusting and collaborative working environment, utilising the niche adversarial perspective of the team.
• Work with the red team director on team operational execution and strategic development, through challenging assumptions, provision of solutions and driving progress over perfection.
• Lead multi week / month threat emulation activities, coordinating teams of upto 6 people.

What we’re looking for:


• Experience in participating in multi week security assessments.
• Capability in defined security domain(s) expertise.
• Knowledge and experience of conducting testing in production enterprise environments.
• Ability to act and communicate professionally to audiences at all levels, whilst remaining consistent on messaging.

Skills that will help you in the role:


• Offensive Security Certified Professional qualification would be beneficial not essential
• Experience / Training in adversarial threat simulations.
• Scripting Skills / Development skills would support this role but other backgrounds considered

You will be working at our technology hub in the North West, located at Radbroke Hall in Knutsford. This role will be working with the Aladdin implementation team to test compliance rules, both mandate and regulatory, as they are delivered back from BRS. Working within a team and following a predesigned process, this individual will be allocated individual rules to test, which may include Aladdin Macros and Tokens. Full rule test documentation will need to be produced before passing and assigning to portfolios.

The IMS team will be expected to work closely with fund managers, Dealers, the Front Office Development team and NTS, as well as shared service teams such as ISS, the COE and Global Procurement.

  • To understand the Aladdin product from a compliance perspective.
  • To be able to interrogate compliance rules to understand what they are trying to achieve.
  • Have a working understanding of how Aladdin Macros are built and how they interact with Compliance rules.
  • To be able to frame necessary feedback to BRS to allow for the rule to be changed when required.
  • Working with Investment Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Investment Control team to answer questions on rule.
  • Experience of Aladdin is a requirement.
  • Experience of regulatory rules including UCITS, NURS and 1940 ACT
  • Strong product knowledge of equities, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives (including IRS, CDS, TRS etc.)
  • Strong systems and workflow experience on an OMS.
  • Produce a high quality of user acceptance testing for any changes tested
  • Produce a high standard of documentation (both of processes and functionality) when required
