IT Systems Officer with Web Development experience needed for a maternity cover in the public sector.

Your new company
Your new organisation will be an easily recognisable public service in the centre of Sheffield. They're requiring an IT Systems Office with Web Development and IT Support experience to cover a maternity leave until December 2020 on a Fixed Term basis. The role will provide a vital service to the organisation and will be complex in nature, ensuring every day is varied and exciting.

Your new role
Within your new role, you'll participate as a key member of the ICT team, supporting internal personnel with their hardware, software and networking issues. You will be proving technical guidance to internal users, assisting with the maintenance and support of specialised software packages alongside file, mail and application servers, either in person or remotely. You'll assist with the prevention of cyber attacks and viruses to the organisations systems, implementing the necessary security procedures and packages to suit. On the development side, you'll be designing and developing relational database systems and associated web interfaces, determining the design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using web languages. You will be integrating applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, establishing connectivity with network systems, servers and search engines. Lastly, you'll be making recommendations for systems solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of customer development versus purchased alternatives.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within the role, you should ideally have at least a years experience within Web Development, being comfortable with systems development, life cycle processes with a good working knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, ASP, XML, SQL and Object-Oriented Design. Having a knowledge of relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle will be a benefit. On the support side, you should have experience of anti-virus software including the implementation of privacy procedures along with day-to-day Service Desk duties.

Document work:

  • Help sales managers to manage NDA,MSA and other agreements with HQ;

The skills you need to succeed:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English; knowledge of Cantonese is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Great interest to work in IT / Tech Services / Telecom; sales support or customer facing experience in these industries would be an advantage.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and database administration skills.
  • General knowledge about billing would be an advantage.
  • Basic legal and finance knowledge would be an advantage.
