Job Title - Software Engineer - C++
Day rate: £450 per day
Length of contract: 6 months

To provide support and administration of the network infrastructure, covering the Data Centre, workspace, wide area network and cloud technologies.
To cover all aspects of network operations, including LAN switching and routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, traffic management and monitoring / management toolsets.

The Network Team is a small highly technical team tasked with ensuring the network is available, performant, secure and supportable. The team work closely with other support teams, other service providers and management functions.

The role will be required to support and administer the entire network estate.

UX Designer needed for a Kent based Software firm.

My client is invested in 2-3 year project, where they anticipate the need to run a dual track agile team approach to enable the best design result. One of the tracks will be focused on design, which will involve a ux & ui designer working with the product owner, business analyst and architecture team to re-imagine the product interface. This will include the need to clearly identify the personas of the various users, user stories, engage in primary research with them and test design prototypes before signing off as ready to fall into a development and coding track.

We need skills around:

  • User experience design
  • User interface design
  • Managing user feedback for the team and to inform the executive of key design choices
  • Leadership of the teams involved to ensure we result in a user led product experience
  • Experience in running design sprints preferred
  • The ability to help define measures to prove the improvement in user experience and interface and create a compelling story for marketing

A public sector client of ours is currently looking for a Migration engineer, the primary focus of this role will be to assist with the design and implementation of a large-scale migration of users (approx. 1500 users), services and applications. There will also be the requirement to provide support for the services and applications within our clients site.

Key responsibilities:
*Provide consultancy and support for the migration of services from our client's research area into a centralised IT delivery model.
*Provide day to day support of systems to include support of Windows, Active Directory, Unix / Linux and research specific applications.
*Responsible for the successful delivery of technical aspects of the migration project within a Service Management framework and in line with the agreed standards and Service Levels.
*Represent changes to the Research environment in Change Advisory Board meetings, daily and weekly Service Review meetings and the Design Authority.
*Responsible for working closely with the other teams within IT to provide an excellent IT Service.
*Responsible for peer reviewing and contributing to proposed Research solutions to ensure they are fit for purpose and provide optimal value for money.
*Responsible for the adoption into service of new solutions ensuring operational suitability.

Key Skills Needed:
*Experience of migration design and execution for services such as Active Directory, Windows File Services, virtual servers, applications and services
*Experience in designing and delivering secure cloud solutions based on Microsoft Azure (IaaS) in an enterprise environment
*Good knowledge of LAMP stack (Linux Apache, MySQL, PHP) both from a support and implementation perspective
*ITIL Foundation qualification
*Good knowledge of IT Security protocols, networking, processes, policies and standards
*Knowledge of IT service management, including change and incident management
*Excellent knowledge of ICT technical standards
*Experience of working with enterprise scale applications, infrastructure and software
*In-depth understanding of complex technical issues
*Demonstrated flexibility and positive attitude towards implementation of technical services in a fast-paced environment with inherent risks and many stakeholders with differing views of success
*Good standard server-based skill set (Windows and Linux)

The IAM Architect will act as a subject matter expert across IBM Security Identity Manager. The Architect is responsible for engineering and detail design across the ISAM/ISIM solution. They work closely together with the involved Stakeholder e.g. Factory team members, Business PM and Business Application Architect and as such is primarily responsible for the design, and the delivery of the designed solution.

  • Maintains a link to the Overall Architecture
  • Designs the IAM solutions from a Functional perspective
  • Designs and integrates IAM solutions from a technical perspective
