Our client, a leading International business based in Cambridge, has a requirement for a Finance Data Analyst for an initial 3 month temporary assignment, although this could potentially extend.

The Client Engineering team builds end-user apps for MaX UC and we are kicking off a project to build a new MaX UC Desktop client for Windows and Mac using Electron for a fresh and modern UX. Over the next few years we will migrate our entire user-base to the Electron app, and to continue developing the client as we add more collaboration features. We are recruiting a highly talented Senior Software Engineer to join this team; you will join an existing scrum team of 4 or 5 engineers and provide web and/or modern desktop app development experience for this greenfield project, getting involved with everything from high level architecture and design to low-level coding and application programming.

Responsibilities

After settling into the team, you’ll be responsible for the following.

  • Ensuring the team builds a great Electron app, evangelising and advising on its architecture, development and maintainability.

Applications Specialist – Clinical Microbiology

Location:  NW England but covering UK territory

Are you a Biomedical Scientist looking to escape the NHS and move into a technical & customer focused position?

Our client is a leading in the supply of clinical diagnostics to the Clinical, Biomedical and associated sectors and due to strong growth and the launch of new innovative diagnostic instrumentation they are looking to recruit an Applications Specialist to support their clinical microbiology systems. 

This is a customer facing role and will involve on-site support and training to existing customers and potential new clients interested in the clinical microbiology diagnostic instrumentation. You will be responsible for full product demonstrations (in support of a Sales & Business Development person); new product instillations, training new system users and dealing with any technical support issues or assay development.

This is a highly technical role and requires candidates to be strong communicators with a proven background supporting clinical/biomedical Instrumentation. Candidates will come from a Microbiological or Biomedical Sciences background and must have hands-on industry experience with clinical microbiology; ideally degree qualified or with equivalent experience. You will enjoy giving presentations, demonstrations, training etc, will have a flair for troubleshooting assays and will be able to fault find instrumentation. Previously experience with microbiology clinical diagnostics is critical and having spent time either working as a specialist BMS or in a similar Instrumentation support role is essential.

Candidates must be fluent in English (oral and written), have excellent communication & training skills and will have a full UK driving license. Due to the nature of new product installations, this role will extensive travel and regular nights away from home. The successful candidate will either be based in NW England or N Midlands area; or will be happy to relocate.
