Our client in Oxford are currently looking for a PMO lead to join their team on an ongoing basis.

Role Purpose:

· Working with the Development Board and other Council Boards where appropriate, you will be responsible for co-ordinating a multi-million pound portfolio of high profile capital projects across the City, many of which are linked to the successful delivery of the Growth Deal.

· Deploying a suite of project management tools, techniques, frameworks as well as maximising the use of digital tools and data analytics, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and reporting on progress on our development programme to make a positive difference to residents and businesses city-wide.

An important part of this role is to provide challenge and support to people at all levels across the organisation to prepare robust ideas, proposals and business cases as part of the process of project development. You will also identify resource gaps, training and support needs to support the delivery of viable, feasible and cost effective solutions to project development and delivery.

Main Duties:

· To co-ordinate complex, cross cutting programmes of work, through collaborative working with others across the Council.

· To co-ordinate the activities of the Development Board and support other Boards as required

· To collaborate with others across the organisation to embed an agile corporate approach to programme management, leading by example, , learning as we go as well as implementing best practice

· To build internal capacity and capabilities for successful programme/project delivery (e.g. communities of practice, online tools and training, career progression, selection and training of coaches)

· To ensure the right resources are in place for successful and timely project/programme delivery

· To build and maintain effective partnerships and networks and engaging with stakeholders in a politically sensitive environment’ and negotiating positive outcomes

· To review projects at each stage of the Council’s major projects process, providing challenge and support where needed.

· To have oversight of, and track the co-ordination project development and delivery of major development projects, maximising the use of dynamic data analytics and digital tools to streamline approach

· To engage with people across the organisation to keep people updated on progress with major projects provide information to support programme delivery through various channels and media (e.g. showcase events, use of Council Matters and the Intranet, attendance at team meetings and Lets Talk events)

Identify and plug any gaps as well as ensuring appropriate support and training is in place for the project teams at all levels

Working hours:

37 Hours a week. Flexible working hours

Pay Rate:

£25.82 per hour

The company themselves have a manufacturing background and mainly focused on products such as radio engineering and antennas etc. More recently, an employee came forward with a proposal for a product he'd invented, they backed the product and are now selling a wide range of the product internationally and it has grown to an extent it is now becoming a sister company and they're looking to grow the team accordingly. The product is unique and focuses on Radio and GPS tracking technology. The team and product is now well established with customers in both the UK and internationally who are ordering large numbers and bespoke designed to their requirements. Responsibilities will include:
