A Global Trading firm building a brand new Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) platform and are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their Core Development team and build out this low latency trading system.

As the Senior Java Developer, you will be involved in designing, developing and testing new features on a low latency trading system. The role will include working with complex technical data tools and require the right individual to have a strong command of core java and a good appreciation of latency sensitive systems. You will deal with internal traders, project managers, compliance, risk, and more.

As the Senior Java Developer, you will take ownership of a number of sub-projects within the build which will involve gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and taking them through to production. As a senior, you will also be required to provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.

As the Senior Java Developer, you will have:

  • Strong knowledge of low-level Core Java development
  • Experience of working in an agile environment and practising test-driven development
  • Experience of working on a high throughput system
  • Excellent communication skills
