AWS Cloud Engineer – Fast-growing FinTech Company – Brooklyn, New York

A fast-growing, well-funded FinTech company in Brooklyn is hiring for an AWS Engineer to manage their AWS Cloud infrastructure which supports a mission-critical web application that manages data and automates operations for investment firms. This role is their first dedicated infrastructure hire and is responsible for maintaining platform availability, collaborating with Product and Development to make recommendations for technology, architecture, tools, and enhancements, assist with projects, coordinate with vendors potentially bringing more expertise in-house, and assist with networking and security.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional IT experience with at least 2 years focusing on AWS (experience with EC2, ELBs, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Cognito, and IAM is ideal). In addition, experience with scripting or development in Python or other languages, particularly for web applications, is highly desirable, as well as experience with automation and provisioning tools, and experience with networking and security. Experience in a scrappy, fast-growing entrepreneurial start-up environment is highly beneficial.
