FRONT END ENGINEER

THE ROLE

We are building a new UI team to develop a greenfield UI in React. The team's mandate is to create an entirely new user experience and engineer the UI with the best and latest technologies.

DEVELOPMENT STACK

React / React-Router / Redux / Redux-Saga / Webpack / Babel / Jest / Enzyme / Storybook / Typescript / TSLint / Prettier

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Use of a Javascript framework eg React and Redux
• UX and visual design skills would be a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the product team to prototype and deliver a new look and feel for the UI
• Collaborate with server side developers to add new features
• Be responsible for visual consistency of the UI

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to cutting edge front end technology
• Joining a small team
• Agile development, 2 week sprints

Senior Technical Consultant having Asset management and / or Banking industry specific experience within Financial Services IT, implementing software vendor Products with significant client facing exposure. Experience within reference data projects on one or more of the following would be highly desirable: Client, Instrument, Product, Pricing or Corporate Actions.

The successful candidate should also have experience with designing enterprise level application integration and data flows, have hands on experience with the latest database and application technologies including exposure to cloud based solutions.

We expect hands implementation experience of the J2EE architecture, configuration and tuning of Jboss / Welogic / Webshere Application Servers, Oracle data base set up and tuning, Hadoop, Elastic search, UNIX/Linux admin and queuing technologies (Kafka, MQ, TIBCO EMS, etc).

The candidate should be familiar with working in agile project environments, experienced with agile ceremony’s and roles and be able to lead and train others. As we adopt more of Dev Ops processes and tools we need a team member who can provide guidance on their implementation and use to maximize benefits to our clients during implementation.

As the Senior FX Algo Developer (Java/low latency) you will be working in a front office, FX trading environment and will be given extensive training on the systems and the financial industry as a whole. They are looking for someone who wants to take their technical skills to the next level and work on some challenging projects.

The Senior Java Software Engineer (Low Latency, Tuning, Linux) will need:

• Strong experience with Core Java development, ideally up to Java 10 – Essential
• Experience working on low latency systems – Essential
• Experience FX – Highly Beneficial
• Experience developing on a Linux platform – Beneficial
