A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Analyst (2/3rdline) to join a professional services firm based in the heart of the City.

You will sit within the IT Support team and be responsible for second and third line desktop support, desktop security, hardware & software deployment, remote access using direct access and Citrix, and a range of collaboration and AV services.

What do you need?

Proven work experience within 2nd/3rd support

Hands-on experience of troubleshooting and identifying solutions to hardware and software issues

Proven experience in remote access technologies such as Citrix XenApp, XenMobile, Direct Access. Ideally with a good understanding of Citrix Netscaler

Hands-on experience with Windows OS environments and Active Directory (including Group Policy)

Knowledge of end point security.

Hands on and proven work experience in Windows and application deployment using SCCM.

Location: Warwick Duration: 6 months

The Role

  • Partner with the business to explore the art of the possible to help guide and innovate ways to drive more efficient business intelligence solutions.
  • Understand business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases and workflow analysis to challenge (where appropriate) and translate them into actionable and deliverable solutions.
  • Facilitation and business process activity modelling
  • Collaborate with the BI Development team, Data Architect and BI Developers will be need to ensure the BI Analyst is able to clearly articulate in business language the expected solution.
  • Excellent planning and communication skills
  • Coordinate and test the BI Solutions
  • Produce and deliver training material and co-ordinate the required testing in line with the BI user acceptance testing process.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into BI requirements
  • Ability to challenge and distinguish user requests from underlying actual needs.
  • Experience in process design/process improvement/process implementation
  • Ability to influence, manage and lead negotiations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience of translating business requirements into effective BI solutions in a complex business environment.
  • Experience in working directly with BI development teams or third party solution providers in delivering large scale/complex BI solutions and projects.
  • Good understanding of data analysis, data mapping and process mapping
  • Good knowledge of traditional and emerging BI tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of reporting (particularly the SAP Business Objects stack including SAP HANA)
