Struggling to find a Senior Machine Learning Engineer role to work on ethical projects that make a difference? We're helping an emerging technology company in Cardiff who have recently received large investment to scale their team, the projects involved have a focus on human rights and tackling organised crime.

This position provides the opportunity work as part of a team and shape the future of their innovative product, you will be responsible for contributing to the further design and development of their comprehensive and business saving systems, using their big data analysis, statistics and machine learning experiences.

They will be looking for someone with expertise in deep learning (TensorFlow, Torch), building classifiers, clustering in high dimensions, pattern recognition algorithms and recommender systems. Experience with large datasets and modern data processing systems like Spark, Presto, Drill, Map Reduce will be required and also some experience with software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).

The successful candidate will have an advanced degree (masters, PhD) in machine learning or a related field and will have some familiarity with both supervised and unsupervised learning using regression and decision trees. The product is built in Python so although it is not essential, software development experience would be beneficial, along with strong machine learning/data analysis experience (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Sklearn, Pandas, DL4J, etc.)
