Senior Service Desk Analyst - 6 months FTC - London

£25,000 for the 6 month duration (£50k prorata)


Working with a well-known and public-facing organisation of circa 600 IT users, you'll be part of a small team supporting their users and resolving issues (up to 2nd line). You will be working with a small and friendly team of very capable people who place considerable value on personal and career development.

Core responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd Line support as well as support projects (SharePoint migrations, implementation of asset management solution, process creation and a host of audit findings around security and networks)
- Ensuring that issues are being resolved in accordance to SLA's
- Collaborate with 3rd parties when required, ensuring all problems are dealt with swiftly
- Receive and manage calls from internal staff via telephone, email and web portal when required

  • Take ownership of user problems, follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner and escalate when necessary (they have 3rd Line support in a different location)



Personal requirements:
- Previous experience working in a 2nd line role or higher
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server based Infrastructure
- Experience with Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory and Citrix
- Any networking knowledge would be highly advantageous
- Possess a positive can-do attitude and be able to communicate with users of all different technical levels
- Previous experience in the transport industry would be beneficial however not mandatory

Their opening hours are between 8am - 6pm, you will be required to work shifts between these hours (to be agreed with the rest of the team). You will also be required to be on call one in every six weeks.

What will you be doing as an IT Support Engineer?

They are currently looking to recruit a Customer Services / Sales Support Technician who is IT literate and has some knowledge of label software and thermal transfer machinery.

The role will be 50% customer services from creating quotations, through processing orders to delivery of goods and invoicing. The remaining 50% is sales support so you will help to support existing customers and to deal with new customers. This will include site visits where you will install drivers and remove any old software that may corrupt installations. You must be IT and software savvy although full training on the hardware will be provided.
