Functional Test Manager

We have a brand new opportunity available for a Functional Test Manager to be part of the Granular Trial Balance (GTB) project, Glasgow.  GTB are currently responsible for delivering a global data platform to provide Finance-attested granular trial balances to multiple functions within Finance, Risk and Treasury function. Phase 1 of this program delivers granular, ledger-reconciled balances for External, Regulatory and Internal reporting, and later phases will extend the capability across other use cases across RFT. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for leading the testing team that ensures that the components delivered by the component delivery integrates to deliver the functional and non-functional requirements.


What will you be doing?


• Actively engaged external business and IT partners in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes.
• Define the Test Strategy, scope and success criteria
• Detail planning of the testing phases (working in conjunction with the Programme and Delivery Managers)
• Agree and communicate test strategy to impacted users and stakeholders
• Ensure readiness for Testing; which includes resources; technology (User Access and Environments); Test Scripts; Tracking & logging test; defects and outcomes.
• Manage dependencies and entry criteria for Testing
• Run Command Centre during Testing
• Coordination of key functions and testers
• Reporting of progress, key risks and issues, and impact to outcomes, to participants, stakeholders and Senior Management
• Escalation and resolution of key issues
• Facilitate UAT sign-off and Go/No Go decisions with stakeholders
• Plan and Execute performance and volume testing

What we’re looking for:


• Experienced Test Manager in banking who has managed small to medium size testing teams
• Knowledge and understanding of testing methodologies
• Knowledge and understanding of defect management tools
• Experience in testing automation

As a Barclays Copywriter, you’ll be versatile enough to turn your hand to everything from in-app copy flows and complex digital journeys to Above the Line campaigns and creative concept development. What will you be doing?

• Working across multiple projects, using your knowledge of creative processes and copywriting to develop outstanding creative and push creative boundaries

• Working collaboratively with senior copywriters and stakeholders

• Hands on development of Autosys, Unix, and Perl scripts, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications
• Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards

What we’re looking for:


• A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related.
