Business Systems Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity to join a busy team at a respected law firm as a Business Systems Analyst. You will analyse the hardware, software, and IT services requirement for the upcoming initiatives that are being employed in the company. Analyses will also require to be carried out in order to determine areas that need improvement. It is also important to have strong research skills in order to determine the latest trends and solutions.

Location: Central Reading
Salary: £ dependent on experience

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 12 Months

Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 9am - 5:30pm

REQUIREMENTS:-

Education, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of a variety of analysis techniques and associated deliverables;
  • knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software
  • analytical thinking skills and documentation skills
  • to have a thorough understanding of computer systems and applications
  • Experience and capability of providing exceptional customer service
  • Hold a BCS (ISEB) (Business Analysis) accreditation / diploma (or equivalent) - Desirable

Abilities:

  • Ability to envision and deliver IT projects that meet user needs and/or solve business problems - Essential
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously - Essential
  • Ability to articulate and gain engagement for ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences - Essential

Experience:

  • Working in an Agile environment
  • Established experience of working in a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst role
  • Established experience of technical testing cycles and documentations.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Gathering business and technical requirements for complex IT upgrade projects. Demonstrating excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, hosting workshops and applying a range of other requirements elicitation techniques where necessary
  • Writing explicit requirement documents, user stories and training materials with attention to detail and a detailed understanding of the critical role that they play in an Agile delivery environment
  • Defining clear and detailed process models, wireframes, mock-ups and other relevant analysis materials to effectively support requirements definitions
  • Building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with stakeholders in order to build, manage and prioritise healthy IT workloads and potential opportunities
  • Supporting testing cycles to find problems before the final version of a system goes live
