Job Elements: -

·Responsible for providing 2nd / 3rd line technical support to the Service Delivery and Application Support teams across allotted hardware/software platforms.

·Responsible for the installation, configuration and on-going patching of physical and virtual servers in the datacentres and regional offices.

·Accountable for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation which supports infrastructure and supported services.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Minimum of 5 years’ experience of providing 2nd / 3rd line support.

·IT and/or Microsoft Qualification (MCSE, MCSA, CCNA etc.).

·Strong background in Windows Server 2008, Server 2012 (R2) & Server 2016.

·Extensive experience of VMWare and Hyper-V virtualisation software, including blade infrastructure.

·In-depth Active Directory skills.

·ITIL Awareness.

·Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills;

·Good team player with proven ability to prioritise workload based on business needs;

·Experience of working in a heavily regulated environment is an advantage;

Innovative electric vehicle development company urgently requires experienced Software Engineer with strong CODESYS experience to join their team to program and document their vehicle management units, battery management systems and other ancillary electronic components.

The Role:

You will be expected to bring technical knowledge and guidance of programming CodeSys 2.3 and 3.5 for an automotive application. Ideally you will have working knowledge of vehicle HV battery (BEV) systems and be from a mechanical, electrical and or electronic engineering background. Automotive / Electric / Battery powered systems background is ideal. Your support will ensure the achievement of business objectives and technical development by delivering projects on time and within budget. The role will require you to take responsibility for the development, documentation and maintenance of CODESYS software libraries and systems from development to production. Day to day you will:

Write and analyse programs written in CodeSys 2.3 and 3.5

Work within the parameters of ISO26262 functional safety (with support)

Support vehicle build and advise on the battery and charging design process

Plan and execute vehicle tests

Manage component change including costs

Responsibility for the collation and presentation of data as and when required

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in a similar role/ automotive application

Sound working knowledge and experience in writing programs in CodeSys 2.3 and 3.5

Understanding of battery electric vehicles

Good electrical and electronic skills

Desirable:

Working knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and their programming

Any working knowledge of LiFePo 4 Prismatic Cells, Lithium Pouch and Lithium Cells

Working knowledge of HV DC battery safe working practices

HV isolation, automatic disconnection and insulation monitoring

An understanding of battery layout, their electrical design and charging capabilities
